In the Fall of 2022 the Simpson Suite received a refurbishment featuring updates to much of the furniture, upgraded fixtures as well as fresh décor.
The Simpson Suite bedroom is spacious with plenty of storage. It features a queen bed, large closet, multiple dressers, ceiling fan and air conditioner.
The Simpson Suite's full bathroom is located off the kitchen and features a claw foot tub, a separate shower as well as a vanity with under-sink storage.
In addition to the queen bed in the bedroom, the Simpson Suite also features a queen sleeper sofa in the living room offering comfortable sleeping for up to four. Pillows and linens are provided for both beds.
The Simpson Suite features a kitchen connecting the living and dining area to the bedroom.

The Simpson Suite's living room is located in the base of the Aldine's Turret Tower. Covered in windows, the space is engulfed in natural light and offers views of Chautauqua Lake, The Amphitheater's back patio, and The Athenaeum Hotel and its grounds. It features a large sofa and comfortable sitting chair, plus flat screen television. The dining table, with stunning views, is expandable so that it can be configured to comfortably seat 2, 3, or 4 based on your needs.
The Simpson Suite's private porch features Wicker chairs and table. It offers views of the of beautiful Athenaeum Hotel grounds beyond which Chautauqua Lake can be seen through the trees.
Rates & Fees
Rates
The Simpson Suite rents on a nightly basis during the Spring and Fall with a minimum two night stay. Rates vary based on time of year and day of week. You can check by toggling the "Rates On/Off Toggle" on the availability calendar HERE.
During the Summer Assembly, The Simpson Suite rents for weekly periods with check in & out on Saturdays. Summer Assembly rentals are incredibly popular and usually book a year in advance, with an early bird option given to the renters from the previous season. If you wish to rent a week (or multiple weeks) for the Summer Assembly season we highly recommend you sign up for our email alerts and contact list. We notify all those on the list of available weeks as soon as they are bookable.
Fees
In addition to the nightly or weekly rate, The Simpson Suite charges a $75 cleaning fee and a $79 damage protection charge. These are separate from the rental rate because they are a single set charge for the entire stay, regardless of whether it is two nights or multiple weeks. Additionally we collect the required 5% Chautauqua County Occupancy Tax on any stay under 30 days.
